The engine was weighed in 2009 when it being transported to the Threshing Show. Its dry weight is 22,940 lbs. (10,405 kg).

The Indiana Special Thresher

Keck-Gonnerman made two types of separators or threshers: the smaller, wood frame "Junior" separator and the larger, steel frame "Indiana Special" model. Each model was available in various sizes. The main drive belt that connects to the engine was the only part that did not come with the thresher.

The thresher used with Kay-Gee 1875 has the following specifications:

Dimensions Width, Overall: 7 ft., 3 in. (2.2 m)
Width, Inside: 54 in. (137.2 cm)
Length (Feeder to Wind Stacker): 26 ft., 11 in. (8.2 m)

Average Speed: 215 Beats per Minute
Sieves Width: 50.75 in. (128.9 cm)
Length: 43.375 in. (110.2 cm)

Each thresher came with accessories which included: a complete set of belts, tools for maintaining the thresher and making repairs to the belts, a tongue to couple the thresher to an engine and extra teeth. All adjustments to the concave and sieves can be made while the machine is running.

The feeder and grain weigher/sacker were accessory attachments that were purchased with this thresher. Keck-Gonnerman also had grass seed, pea hulling and clover hulling attachments available to fit this machine. (Keck-Gonnerman also made machines dedicated to pea hulling and clover hulling. The big difference was that a huller had two cylinders where a grain thresher had one.)
